Hi, I am Xiangming Liu. I was born and raised in the northeast, China (close to the border of North Korea). I lost my hearing when I was a child. My hometown is in Dandong. My grandparents (my father's parents) are Manchus, my mother and her father are Muslims (originally from Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan near Russia), and her mother is Han (the largest ethnic group in China). Currently, I live in Silver Spring MD.

I am a current student majoring in Graphic Design at Gallaudet University (GU). Also, I am a four-year swimmer representing GU and a member of Keeping the Promise: Equitable Outcomes for Students of Color. I have lived here for nearly 5 years. For sure, I learn a great number of necessary skills relating to academics, communication, leadership, and vitality. They are helpful to increase my self-knowledge. As my last semester, I am excited to graduate this May (2021).

I would like to work on graphic design in terms of posters, photography, mural painting, video editing, typography, and other relevant materials so that they can develop my skills. Art is my soulmate; the design is my motivation.

My hobbies are swimming, biking, cooking, badminton, foreign languages, and DIY.
